These are the steps to measuring the rainfall at your location:
1st) Measure the widest inside diameter of the funnel, divide that by 2.
2nd) Square that number (multiply it by itself) then multiply by 3.142 to get the area of the top of the funnel
3rd) Divide the number you came up with by 10. This gives you the factor to multiply by when you are working out how much rain has fallen in millimeters.
